About INB CAS

The Inabanga College of Arts and Sciences (INB CAS) received approval from CHEDRO-7 on September 15, 2023, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Jose Jono C. Jumamoy. The initiative to establish a college began during Mayor Josephine Socorro C. Jumamoy's term and became a reality through Municipal Ordinance No. 0120 Series of 2021 issued by the Sangguniang Bayan (SB).

However, the journey to establish the college was not without its challenges, including the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and super typhoon Odette. Despite these obstacles, Mayor Roygie and the LGU officials remained steadfast in their commitment to providing higher education opportunities to the community.

Considering the economic hardships faced by many Inabangnon families, Mayor Roygie is considering reapplying to CHED to offer tuition-free education. Eventually, CHEDRO-7 approved INB CAS to commence its first academic year in 2023 – 2024 offering the first program Bachelor of Science in Information Systems. Sixty-two (62) freshmen were accepted in the first academic year. The following year, 2024 – 2025, one hundred twenty (120) SHS graduates officially enrolled in INB CAS as the next batch of freshmen.
